
A recent pursuit in Stockton resulted in the arrest of four individuals, including one minor, on multiple charges, including evading arrest, gang involvement, and firearms offenses. According to a Facebook post by the Stockton Police Department, officers from the Gang Street Enforcement Team (GSET) initiated the pursuit on Thursday.
The GSET, which focuses on tackling community violence, attempted to stop a vehicle at Acacia and Baker. The driver ignored the attempt and led authorities on a chase that ended when the suspect’s vehicle crashed into another motorist. After the crash, the suspects fled on foot but were apprehended following a brief pursuit. During the investigation, officers recovered three firearms from the suspects’ car.
The individuals apprehended were identified by the department as Tycre Rucker, 23, Rondale Cohee, 19, Kayzhon Lane, 22, and a 17-year-old juvenile. Each now faces serious charges stemming from the events of that day. The Stockton Police Department's statement highlighted the seizure of the firearms, emphasizing its ongoing commitment to removing weapons from those believed to be involved in violent crimes.
