In a substantial drug bust yesterday, deputies from Constable Mark Herman's Special Operations Unit and agents from the Texas Department of Public Safety Criminal Investigations Division collared two men during a narcotics investigation. Operating out of the 13300 block of Veterans Memorial Drive, officers executed a search warrant that led to this significant seizure.
Inside the premise, armed with loaded handguns and surrounded by an arsenal of various illegal substances, Timothy Nealy and Jamile Grimble were detained. Both previously convicted felons, these individuals found themselves again on the wrong side of the law. According to a statement from Constable Mark Herman's Facebook post, they were in possession of over 33 pounds of Marijuana, various amounts of Xanax, presumed Fentanyl and Methamphetamine, Morphine, several pressed pills, Carisoprodol, Oxycodone, Cyclobenzaprine, a large quantity of Promethazine, THC Edibles, and THC Pens.
The constables didn't just stop at drugs – also seized was more than $11,000 in cash and a vehicle, both believed to be proceeds from illegal narcotics distribution. Aid came from an unexpected corner as Constable Canine “Rambo Tom Ramsey” lent a helping nose to the ensuing investigation, assisting with the narcotics detection.
The charges slapped on Nealy and Grimble include Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver, Felon in Possession of a Firearm and Possession of Marijuana. "Timothy Nealy and Jamile Grimble were arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail," confirms Constable Mark Herman's office in its account of the bust.
