U.S. Postal Inspection Service Offers $150K Reward for Information on Los Angeles Letter Carrier RobberiesSource: X/USPIS-LA Division

The U.S. Postal Inspection Service has put forth a substantial reward for information leading to the arrest of three suspects involved in a series of letter carrier robberies in Los Angeles. These incidents, as outlined by the U.S. Postal Inspection Service, involved a trio of suspects who targeted USPS employees in the Sherman Oaks, Valley Village, and Tarzana neighborhoods. According to a statement released by the KTLA, the Inspection Service has set the reward at up to $150,000.

A video of the March 20 incident, detailed by CBS News Los Angeles, shows two of the suspects in black hoodies exiting a newer model white Honda 4-door sedan and confronting a letter carrier. The letter carrier, who was in the process of handling packages, was robbed before the suspects fled back to the waiting vehicle. The third accomplice, as described by authorities, was at the wheel ready to make their getaway.

This latest robbery is believed to be connected to other attempts involving these suspects. In posts made by the USPIS-LA Division X, the criminals have been described as young Hispanic males, with one being approximately 5'7" and the other around 6'0", both wearing hoodies and face masks, with a third male described simply as Hispanic and also masked. The suspects have been spotted in a vehicle adorned with custom rims, emphasizing the identifiable nature of their means of escape.

As the investigation proceeds, the U.S. Postal Inspection Service has warned the public not to engage with these individuals, echoing the warning, "TAKE NO ACTION TO APPREHEND THIS PERSON YOURSELF," as highlighted by a USPIS-LA social media post. They stress the importance of safety and the potential danger these suspects represent to the public. Anyone with information regarding the incidents is urged to contact the U.S. Postal Inspection Service at (877) 876-2455, with the assurance all information will remain confidential.
