
The Philadelphia Police Department is currently spearheading an active search for 15-year-old Mecca Hurst, a missing juvenile from the city's 15th District. The efforts to locate her continue after she was reported missing when she didn’t return home from Lincoln High School on Thursday.
It has been confirmed that Mecca Hurst is a female, described as having brown hair and brown eyes, 5’6” in height, and weighing roughly 145 pounds. She was last seen clad entirely in black. The community members with knowledge of her last known movements or current whereabouts are being prompted to come forward with any information that could aid in the search. The police have made it explicitly clear that they are deeply concerned and are seeking any leads to quickly and safely locate Mecca.
A photograph of Mecca Hurst, along with a description, was circulated by the Philadelphia Police, with an urgent call to the public for assistance. The Philadelphia Police Department statement indicated, "Anyone with information on Mecca Hurst’s whereabouts is urged to contact the East Detective Division at 215-686-3243 or call 911."
