
An armed robbery has left a victim without thousands of dollars' worth of camera equipment following an encounter in Culver City that turned violent, according to the Culver City Police Department. Last Saturday night, the victim, who was selling camera gear through an online platform, met with what was believed to be a potential buyer in a parking lot on Washington Boulevard, only to be assaulted and robbed by two individuals, with a third suspect involved.
The Culver City Police Department reports that after a discussion about the camera equipment with the victim, one suspect punched the victim in the face and knocked him to the ground while the other suspect held the victim down. Both fled the scene with the stolen items, which include a Sony Alpha 7 S3 Camera and a Sony FE 28-70 mm lens collectively valued at approximately $5,500, despite a comprehensive search executed immediately by police units no suspects were apprehended at the time.
Witnesses or anyone with information about this crime are being urged to come forward and contact the Culver City Police Department Public Information Officer, Jennifer Atenza. Descriptions of the suspects have been provided: all three are male and black, with both S/1 and S/2 being approximately 5'10" wearing black hooded sweatshirts and black pants, while S/3 is described as having a heavy build, and was seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and was armed with a black semi-automatic handgun at the time of the robbery; they were seen driving a black four-door sedan.
