Three men from Washington, D.C., have been arrested and charged for several ATM robberies at 7-Eleven stores in Prince George's County, with the alleged theft amounting to around $200,000. In a joint operation involving the Prince George's County Police Department (PGPD) and the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD), 33-year-old Jeff Crews, 34-year-old Maurice Roots, and 39-year-old David Jerome Walker were apprehended following investigations into the robberies, which began in late January, as reported by FOX5 DC.

According to authorities, the suspects used hydraulic rescue tools, often referred to as "jaws of life," to forcibly open ATMs and obtain the cash inside, a method that PGPD tied to incidents at several locations across Beltsville, Upper Marlboro, Lanham, and Oxon Hill the suspects were arrested last Wednesday, among them is Crews who faces 43 charges. In contrast, Walker faces 45, and Roots, with seven. Their apprehension yielded the recovery of not only cash but also firearms and vehicles associated with the crimes, as detailed by DC News Now.

Crews and Walker are linked to robberies on January 29 and February 1, 6, and 19. A robbery on February 22 involved all three suspects. These robberies have gained attention because of the violent methods used and the large amounts of cash stolen, highlighting the weaknesses of convenience stores. The arrests came after a detailed investigation, with PGPD's Fugitive Unit and MPD carrying out search warrants at the suspects' homes. Evidence connects them to the crimes and suggests they may be involved in other ATM robberies that have not yet been charged.
