A tragic incident unfolded in Elizabeth Township on Sunday morning when a 3-year-old boy was killed after being struck by a riding lawn mower. The Allegheny County Medical Examiner's office identified the young victim as Wyatt Barker, as reported by Audacy. The accident occurred around 11 a.m. on the 3000 block of Skillet Hill Road, an address now marked by a somber investigation.
First responders who arrived at the scene declared Barker dead upon their arrival. According to a report from WTAE, the Allegheny County Police, accompanied by the Homicide Unit, are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the young child's death. It was noted that Barker did not live in Allegheny County.
The area where the incident occurred was cordoned off by multiple law enforcement agencies, including county detectives assisting local police with the investigation.
