Other highlighted initiatives include the Tenants’ Rights Assistance Program, which helped 339 households with tenants' rights counseling and provided health and safety repairs mediation to another 62 households. On the front of home stability and safety, over 300 households benefited from the Home Repair Programs. "The Housing Department celebrated an impactful year with the opening of thousands of new affordable housing units and expanding the reach of supportive programs to keep residents in their homes," DeMayo pointed out.

As for the creation and development incentives, more than $9 million was awarded for affordable ownership housing projects, while an impressive over $69 million was allocated to expand affordable rental housing for low-income households. Indicative of the city's effort to keep both developers and community members informed, the Austin Housing Newsletter and the Developer Newsletter have been instrumental, reaching nearly 6,000 community members and over 250 developers, respectively. These resources take part in the department's broader mission to provide comprehensive housing solutions aimed at preventing displacement and enhancing overall community development.
