According to official reports, the incident occurred at approximately 5:02 pm when an unidentified male approached a person seated in their gold 2008 BMW, brandished a firearm, and proceeded to steal the vehicle.
The carjacking incident occurred in a private parking lot, with the suspect last seen fleeing east on Roberson Street. Authorities have described the perpetrator as a thin black male, in his late teens to early 20s, wearing a ski mask.
