The arraignment saw Rivera being held without bail in Framingham District Court after a dangerousness hearing that left no room for his release into the community pending trial.

The joint operation conducted by the Massachusetts State Police and the MetroWest Drug Task Force on March 31 seized a sizable haul of drugs, a firearm, and other items indicative of drug trafficking operations, law enforcement seized approximately 2,355 grams of cocaine, 60 grams of crack cocaine, and 85 grams of fentanyl from the auto body shop, along with a firearm and a mechanical press for packaging drugs, furthermore, the authorities confiscated over $160,000 in cash and two vehicles from a property connected to Rivera, one vehicle being a high-value McLaren MP412C, a sumptuous nod to the scale of the alleged illicit enterprise.

District Attorney Ryan emphasized the gravity of the case, stating, “In this case investigators seized, among other things, a large quantity of dangerous narcotics, a press for packaging, a substantial amount of cash, a gun and a luxury car," all except the gun, law enforcement allege, belong to the various trappings and proceeds of a drug operation using the body shop as a front; she further explained the commitment to dismantling such operations that pose a significant menace to community safety, according to District Attorney's Office.

The collective effort leading to the charges represented a collaboration among the Middlesex District Attorney's Office, Framingham Police Department, Clinton Police Department, detectives from Massachusetts State Police assigned to the Middlesex District Attorney's Office, and members from the MetroWest Drug Task Force which includes officers from Framingham, Natick, Marlborough, and Ashland Police departments, the assistant prosecutor assigned to oversee the legal proceedings of this case is Andrew Ineson; these officials worked unitedly to bring down what they describe as a significant drug-selling operation.
