The National Weather Service (NWS) reports today will see a 50 percent chance of rain before 8am in Manhattan, with mostly cloudy conditions and highs around 56 degrees. The outlook for Brooklyn includes a 60 percent chance of rain with patchy fog this morning, while Queens has a 70 percent chance of rain and patches of fog before the sky clears a bit in the afternoon. The Bronx and Staten Island also face similar conditions, with chances of morning rain followed by mostly cloudy skies.
As we head into the evening, New Yorkers in all boroughs can look forward to mostly clear skies and lows in the mid-40s, according to NWS Manhattan, NWS Brooklyn, NWS Queens, NWS Bronx, and NWS Staten Island. Monday's forecast calls for partly sunny conditions, with temperatures reaching the low 60s and winds shifting from the west to south. More rain is predicted for Monday night, with a 60 percent chance of showers and potential thunderstorms.
Looking ahead to Tuesday, a 30 percent chance of showers is on the docket for the morning, followed by mostly cloudy skies and high temperatures in the mid-60s. Winds are expected to pick up, gusting as high as 31 mph in Manhattan. The rest of the week will bring a mix of partly sunny to sunny days, with highs fluctuating from mid-50s to low 70s across different boroughs. Nighttime temperatures will remain consistent, dropping to the low to mid-40s.
The National Weather Service has also issued an Hazardous Weather Outlook for the region including New York City boroughs. However, as stated on the NWS website, "No hazardous weather is expected at this time" that would meet the warning criteria both today and in the upcoming days. They assure that spotter activation is not anticipated at this time.
