
Tragedy struck the Dallas community on Thursday when a fatal shooting occurred on the 3300 block of Ingersoll Street, leaving 20-year-old Adan Sanchez dead and prompting an immediate response from Dallas Police and Dallas Fire-Rescue. According to the Dallas Police Department, officers arrived at the scene around 3:45 a.m. after receiving a shooting call, but the suspect had fled before their arrival.
The preliminary investigation has identified that the victim, Sanchez, was shot by a known suspect, whose identity has not yet been released to the public due to the ongoing nature of the inquiry. Dallas Fire-Rescue attempted life-saving measures, but Sanchez ultimately succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The traumatic event concluded with the locating of the suspect on the 4800 block of Bernal Drive, who then turned the gun on themselves upon officer confrontation. The suspect, who has not yet been named, was transported to a hospital in critical condition.
