The Dandridge Police Department has introduced a new initiative aimed at providing support to the elder segment of its community. Yesterday, they rolled out the Senior Community Care Program, envisioned as a safety net for seniors, affording them and their caregivers an added layer of support and reassurance. "Our officers are here to listen, assist and keep in touch, whether it's for a simple check-in or if you have concerns you'd like to share," the department declared in a release reported by WVLT.
In alignment with this initiative, Dandridge residents aged 60 and above are eligible to benefit from routine check-ins by officers to ensure their well-being. WATE reports that officers will be tasked with making weekly calls to those enrolled in the program.
Interested parties are encouraged to obtain more information directly from the police department. "We're thrilled to offer this service and look forward to serving our community in a new and meaningful way," read a statement from a social media post by the Dandridge Police Department.
