A former nanny from Northeast Ohio is facing serious charges for the sexual exploitation of children along with the distribution of illicit materials depicting minors. As announced by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Ohio, Molly Duncan, 25, hailing from Beachwood, stands accused of generating and disseminating sexual abuse materials involving toddlers during her tenure as a nanny in 2024 and continuing into 2025.
According to the press release, Duncan could see a minimum of 15 years to a maximum of 30 years in prison if found guilty of sexual exploitation and an additional 5 to 20 years for distribution charges; the authorities discovered several electronic devices in her residence containing child sexual abuse materials, commonly referred to as child pornography, and now her fate hangs in the balance of the judicial system.
The investigation that brought these charges to light was the work of an ensemble—the Cleveland Field Office of Homeland Security Investigations and the Ohio Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, with additional support from the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office. The effort underscores the relentless pursuit of justice for the most vulnerable among us and the long arm of the law that stretches to bring malefactors to account. Assistant U.S. Attorneys Margaret Kane and Michelle M. Baeppler are leading the prosecution.
As the proceedings against Duncan unfold, the public is urged to contribute any pertinent information by calling the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force at 216-698-3151.
