Franklin County commuters are seeing some traffic relief this morning as the Sheriff's Office announces reopening several previously closed routes due to flooding. According to a social media update from the Franklin County Sheriff's Office, key interchanges on the county's south end have reopened. This includes 270W to US-23SB, 270E to US-23NB, and both US-23SB at 270W, US-23 NB at 270E.
While these areas are now accessible, drivers are still urged to exercise caution. In the announcement, local authorities detailed that Harmon's reopening between Frank/Hart Road and removing flood walls on Greenlawn Avenue means traffic can resume normal flow in these sections. However, individuals should remain vigilant for emergency personnel who may still be present in the vicinity.
The Sheriff's Office encourages those traveling through the reopened areas to keep their guard up, recognizing that the waters have changed the landscape. "Please continue to use caution and watch for any emergency personnel," the update warned, signaling that while the path may be clear, the journey remains one to approach with care.
