Chaos briefly overtook the streets of Tarzana this morning as a high-speed chase culminated in a traffic collision. As per an alert from the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD), the event unfolded at 5400 N Corbin Avenue at around 11:29 A.M. Specifics on what sparked the chase were not disclosed, but the results include bent metal, a wounded peacekeeper, and another individual facing the consequences of high velocity gone awry.
The collision resulted from a law enforcement pursuit, ending with one California Highway Patrol officer sustaining minor injuries. In the heat of the moment, adrenaline masks pain, and following the collision, the officer opted to decline treatment, according to the LAFD alert.
Another patient involved in the crash was not as fortunate, though still lucky under the circumstances. They were transported from the scene with non-life-threatening injuries. As traffic wrapped around the incident, with the LAFD and law enforcement working in concert to clear the scene, restore order, and usher in normalcy, it was a reminder that the unexpected lies in wait, ready to disrupt the day-to-day with the blare of a siren or the screech of tires.
For additional information and ongoing updates, all inquiries have been directed to the Los Angeles Police Department, referencing LAPD Inc# 1956.
