More than 80 classic, vintage, exotic and collector automobiles will roll onto San Vicente Boulevard on Saturday, Dec. 5, when Brentwood hosts its first-ever car concours, a free public event running from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. between Barrington and Darlington avenues. Organizers are billing it as Brentwood's first luxury and classic car show of its kind, promising not just rows of gleaming machines but music, DJ programming and a charitable angle woven into the morning.
The new event, called the Brentwood Concours, comes from the same team behind the Pacific Palisades Motor Classic, according to Santa Monica Daily Press. That connection means the Palisades Motor Classic crew is effectively bringing its westside automotive showcase formula to a new neighborhood, with Brentwood serving as the latest stop for a model built around blending car culture with community fundraising.
Per the Daily Press report, the Concours will feature luxury brands and exhibits alongside curated music and DJ programming, with charitable components folded into the day's schedule. Organizers say the show is designed to welcome collectors, car enthusiasts, residents and visitors alike, and that additional participating vehicles, brands, community partners and programming will be announced before the event.
Where the Money Goes
According to the Brentwood Concours's official website, proceeds from the event will go to the Petersen Automotive Museum STEAM Education Programs, which the site describes as creating experiences for K-12 students predominantly from underserved communities in the Los Angeles area. The same website claims the programs positively impact more than 300,000 kids and their families annually, though that figure has not been independently verified. Separately, promotional materials cited by the Daily Press describe the event's charitable reach more broadly in terms of benefiting local charities.
The site also notes that vehicles on display will be sourced from private collectors, Brentwood residents, personal invitations and local luxury dealerships — a mix that organizers suggest will give the debut show a distinctly neighborhood feel even as it courts higher-end exhibits. Anyone looking for more details ahead of the Dec. 5 debut can reach organizer Alexis Pappas at [email protected], per the Daily Press.
A Pattern Taking Shape on the Westside
The Brentwood debut follows a similar playbook to the Pacific Palisades Motor Classic, which has paired car displays with fundraising for fire recovery. The Pacific Palisades Motor Classic's own website describes an event bringing more than 200 curated vehicles — ranging from vintage roadsters to exotic supercars to the latest in EV technology — to the heart of Pacific Palisades on June 12, 2027.
Accounts of the Palisades event's debut vary. Palisades Post reported that the inaugural Pacific Palisades Motor Classic drew more than 4,500 attendees and featured 250 cars, serving as a fundraiser for the Palisades-Malibu YMCA. Meanwhile, Road & Track reported the event was scheduled for June 13, 2026, with more than 200 vehicles planned for display and an expected attendance of 3,000 enthusiasts and neighbors, with proceeds from car entries and vendor spaces donated directly to the Lowe Family YMCA. Road & Track also noted the event was organized by David O’Connell in collaboration with the PaliBu Chamber of Commerce.
Whichever figures prove accurate, the throughline is clear: both westside showcases are framed less as pure spectacle and more as public gatherings with a charitable purpose stitched in. For Brentwood, that means a free morning of classic and exotic metal on San Vicente Boulevard, with the promise of more details — and possibly more surprises — to come before cars start lining up on Dec. 5.
