Houston residents should prepare for another stormy day, with heavy rainfall expected to impact traffic. Wednesday has been declared a Storm Alert Day due to the potential for significant delays during both morning and evening commutes, as FOX 26 Houston reported.

The National Weather Service forecasts a 60% chance of showers and thunderstorms between 10 a.m. and noon, with up to half an inch of rain possible. The chance of rain decreases to 20% before 9 p.m., with mostly cloudy skies and a southeast wind.

Thursday’s forecast calls for a 20% chance of showers, partly sunny skies, and temperatures in the mid-80s. The weather will become hotter and more humid as the week progresses, with afternoon highs expected to be 6-8 degrees above average.

The weekend forecast includes mostly sunny days with temperatures in the mid-80s, although isolated showers may occur.
