This year's Comicpalooza lineup includes a variety of figures from the entertainment industry. Notable guests include Adam Strange, a host and producer known for MythBusters, and Sosie Bacon, the lead actress in Smile. The event will also feature figures from fantasy and comedy, such as stand-up comedian and actor Patton Oswalt, and actress Alicia Witt, known for her role in Dune. Aimée McCurtain, senior vice president with Comicpalooza organizer Houston First Corporation, shared, "Our first round of guest announcements covers a wide range of fandoms and is indicative of the diverse interests of Comicpalooza attendees," as reported by CultureMap Houston.
Comicpalooza, held annually in Houston, attracts 40,000 to 50,000 attendees each year. This year, the event will feature WWE Hall of Famer Charles Wright, wrestling stars Lisa Marie Varon and Torrie Wilson, and authors Paul Tremblay and Andrea Stewart. Despite the sale of the "Darth Vader house" for $3.3 million, Houston remains a popular location for fan events, as mentioned by CW39.
