The Los Angeles Police Department has taken into custody members of an armed group accused of a series of robberies at various 7-Eleven locations on April 18. According to KTLA, the suspects include 21-year-old Jacuri Tobias and two juveniles, aged 15 and 17. The crimes occurred from the early hours until late in the evening, across Los Angeles, Baldwin Park, and Pasadena. A blue steel handgun with an extended magazine, used in the robberies, has not been recovered, and one suspect remains at large.
LAPD detectives working the case have released video footage showing the suspects arriving at the 7-Eleven stores in a stolen blue Hyundai before carrying out the robberies. In a statement obtained by ABC7, LAPD Detective Jose Hidalgo encourages anyone with information to come forward. A series of robberies occurred at locations including West Washington Blvd.. Glendale Blvd., Rosemead Ave., Bess Ave., and West Temple Street.
