Gaming enthusiasts between the ages of 12-18 have something to look forward to in Las Cruces. On April 21, the Branigan Memorial Library is set to host its monthly Teen Video Game Club, offering local youth an opportunity to engage in digital battles and cooperative adventures. According to the City of Las Cruces, the event takes place from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Roadrunner Room at Thomas Branigan Memorial Library, located at 200 E. Picacho Ave.
Las Cruces Public Libraries has set the stage for an afternoon where teens can enjoy video games in the company of friends, complemented by free snacks. No pre-registration is needed for those planning to attend, ensuring a laid-back and accessible atmosphere for all who have an interest. As an added convenience, the library notes that the event is easily reachable via Roadrunner Transit Route 1, making it an accessible destination for gamers across the city.
Accessibility is also a key consideration for the library's event organizers. Individuals who need accommodation for a disability in order to participate in the gaming club are encouraged to call the library at (575) 528-4102, TTY 711, with a minimum of 48 hours' notice. This proactive move underscores Las Cruces Public Libraries' commitment to inclusivity and their efforts to ensure all teens can share in the enjoyment of the day.
