Get ready to splash your spring with every shade of joy because ColorPalooza is coming back to Lewisville, serving up a free, family-friendly day packed with artsy endeavors and cultural treats. The event, happening on April 26 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Wayne Ferguson Plaza, is putting the 'celebration' in 'A Celebration of Spring,' according to the City of Lewisville.
Unleashing a prism of activities that span from making custom keychains with Art Club with Amber to diving into the glowing abyss at Glow Crazy, the festival boasts both returning and new attractions. Hosting impressive demonstrations, like rug tufting with Tutugether Texas and perler bead sorcery courtesy of Josh Guner, the event aims to ignite your creative spark. Wrapped around the plaza will be the Dallas Yarn Bombers, their handcrafted pieces leaving no tree unadorned, while the water art installation makes a splash in Wayne Ferguson Plaza runnel, brought to the scene by The Float Company, as reported by the City of Lewisville.
Not just eye candy, the festival tunes to the melody of cultures with The Mexico Experience and serenades the crowd with Grace Han Band atop the Commercial Bank of Texas stage. Savor the flavor of the day with food vendors like Halal Fusionz dishing out Pakistani-Tex Mex mashups, and for the German cuisine aficionados, Ms. Piggy's will be onsite to satiate your cravings.
Embracing the Centennial celebrations, visitors can 'check in' at ColorPalooza using the VisitLewisvilleTX app for the Centennial Passport program. This program gives participants a shot at unlocking deals and the ultimate Spring prize pack, in case you needed more incentives to dive into this color bonanza. Giving is Golden will also be there, across from City Hall, with arms open to accept donations of essentials that benefit community organizations, with details provided by the City's announcement.
