
Long Beach is reeling from another case of gun violence after a fatal shooting killed Travis Lee Robinson Sr., a 56-year-old local resident. According to a press release issued by the Long Beach Police Department, Robinson was found with a critical gunshot wound early Sunday morning in the 1900 block of 45th Street.
Homicide detectives are currently piecing together the puzzling circumstances surrounding the incident, which occurred on Saturday just after midnight. Officers arrived at the scene following a gunfire report and attempted to provide medical assistance until replaced by Long Beach Fire Department personnel. Tragically, the victim's injuries proved fatal.
The investigation regarding the shooting's motive and the surrounding events remains ongoing. In their quest for answers, detectives Michael Hubbard and Lisette Temblador are leading the probe, the Long Beach Police Department reports.
