Concern is increasing in the Long Island community of Old Brookville following the unexplained disappearance of local residents Peishuan Fan and JuanJuan Zwang. The couple has been missing since March 30, with no confirmed information regarding their whereabouts or condition. Their absence has been noted by neighbors, including Judith Moran, who referred to them as "very, very nice" in an interview with CBS News New York. The Nassau County Missing Persons Squad has requested assistance from the public in locating the couple.
Authorities have provided limited information about the circumstances of the couple’s disappearance. However, they have not dismissed the possibility of abduction or a voluntary departure possibly linked to financial or political factors. Local residents, including Robert Vizza, expressed confusion. He told CBS News New York that it is “most strange” he has no idea what happened to the couple—both parents—after being informed by police of their disappearance last week.
The Missing Persons Squad has provided a description of JuanJuan Zwang: a 44-year-old Asian female, around 5'0" tall, approximately 130 lbs., with brown eyes and black hair. Details regarding Zwang's clothing at the time of her last sighting and her intended destination remain unknown, as reported by longisland.com. Zwang may be accompanied by Peishuan Fan, adding an additional layer of concern to her disappearance.
Amid the ongoing uncertainty, the situation has directly impacted the couple’s family. Their two sons, ages 20 and 12, have reportedly not had contact with their mother for over three weeks. According to CBS News New York, the older son appeared visibly distressed and was hesitant to speak publicly. Nassau County officials, including Executive Bruce Blakeman, have confirmed that the investigation remains active but have not released further information, citing the need to protect the integrity of the case.
The Nassau County police are urging anyone with information on Fan and Zwang to come forward. Tips can be directed to the Nassau County Missing Persons Squad at 516-573-7347 or through an immediate 911 call.
