On Wednesday, at 9:43 p.m., police received reports of a man shot in the 3200 block of North Las Vegas Boulevard. When officers arrived, they found a man with a gunshot wound inside a vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene after medical assistance. His identity is being withheld pending notification of family, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
The victim, with a friend, arrived to meet an acquaintance. While waiting, Adrian Rhodes, 31, approached the driver's side and fired a single shot into the vehicle. Rhodes then fled the scene, leaving the victim fatally injured, as reported by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
Rhodes was arrested and processed at the Clark County Detention Center on a charge of open murder following a fatal shooting. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Homicide Section is seeking additional information from the public to understand the circumstances surrounding the incident.
