The City of Medford announced a comprehensive list of infrastructure projects that will affect traffic flow, from fiber line replacements to sewer line rehabilitations. According to the City's website, Hunter Communications will be replacing fiber communications lines on East 10th Street from Tripp Street to Siskiyou Boulevard, and that means alternating lane closures with flaggers from Monday to April 25.

For those living or driving in the south of Medford, be prepared for Canyon Pipeline Repairs to tackle a natural gas pipeline project for Avista Utilities on both Table Rock Road and Dakota Avenue. These efforts will result in specific lane closures over two weeks. Moreover, there's work by Robinson Brothers Construction on East Vilas Road, on behalf of Luman Technologies, where westbound lanes will not be accessible; flaggers will guide traffic during these utility connections.

City streets will also see some enhancements for accessibility. Brown Contracting crews will be busy installing ADA ramps on several streets, including Summit Avenue, Pennsylvania Avenue, and E. McAndrews Road near the Rogue Valley Mall. Expect lane closures, complete with flaggers, managing the flow of vehicles from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. during the latter half of April.

Maintenance activities aren't limited to the roads, as the City prepares for sidewalk closures too. East McAndrews Road will see its south side sidewalk closed off for a short stint, from Valley View Drive to North Modoc Avenue, while Hukills attends to a sewer lateral full stop. With several projects involving SAK crews performing sewer line rehabilitation on streets like Cherry Lane and Oregon Avenue, local commutes may be snarled, and patience, as well as a keen eye for detour signs, will be a necessity.
