
A man wanted for a Memphis murder has been apprehended in Southaven, Mississippi, as confirmed by the U.S. Marshals Service. The suspect, 52-year-old Antonio McClelland, was arrested yesterday, and is facing charges of first-degree murder in connection to the death of Jimmy L. Walker. Action News 5 reported that McClelland was taken into custody in the backyard of a residence on Holbrook Cove.
As reported by FOX13 Memphis, Walker was discovered shot inside his Frayser apartment located on North Trezevant Street on March 6. He succumbed to his injuries after being transported to a local hospital. Memphis Police Department identified McClelland as the shooter on March 11 and a warrant for his arrest soon followed. On April 15, found working with the U.S. Marshals' Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force, McClelland was arrested without incident.
Currently, Antonio McClelland is being held at the DeSoto County Detention Facility, awaiting extradition back to Shelby County, Tennessee. McClelland's capture was a collective effort involving the USMS Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force (TRVFTF) in Memphis and their Northern Mississippi counterparts. They cooperated to locate McClelland, ultimately leading to his arrest in Southaven.

Once extradited to Tennessee, McClelland will be processed for the alleged crimes linked to the tragic event that unfolded in early March, claiming the life of Walker.
