The New Orleans Police Department is seeking two individuals, Tee Onda Chambers and Keyantae Manning, in connection with a recent theft and theft by fraud case. The NOPD has requested the public's assistance in locating the suspects, who are accused of stealing over $8,000 using a stolen bank card account. The alleged incident, which involved the use of a cellphone previously reported stolen, occurred on Saturday.
According to a report by NOPD News, Chambers and Manning face multiple charges including Identity Theft and Access Device Fraud, both felonies, along with a misdemeanor charge for Theft Less Than $1,000. Witnesses reported spotting the suspects having fled the scene on Saturday after fraudulently accessing the victim’s funds.
Chambers is described as a Black female, born on February 22, 2001, while Manning, also a Black female, was born on August 7, 2002. The suspects' reckoning with the law hinges on their ability to evade the grasping arms of justice, as NOPD and the community at large remain vigilant for any sign of their presence.
Apart from the request for assistance from the community, NOPD is offering an anonymous reporting option through Crimestoppers. As stated by investigators, "Anyone with information regarding the crimes or the locations of the suspects is asked to call First District detectives at 504-658-6010 or to anonymously call Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111." The crimes in question involve the questionable use of a cellphone earlier stolen to slip out funds from the victim's bank account in a deceitful manner.
