The National Weather Service in Oklahoma City has issued a weather advisory warning of windy conditions, with north winds expected at 20 to 30 mph, gusting up to 45 mph. The advisory is in effect from this morning until evening, with the potential for unsecured objects to be displaced and power outages in some areas, according to the NWS.
The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for central, east central, northwest, southeast, southern, southwest, and western Oklahoma. Winds are expected to be strong, with the NWS warning that "winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high-profile vehicles."
While today's version of Oklahoma whimsy includes showers possibly blooming into a rain and snow flowerpot show by nightfall, with little to no accumulation expected, the weather tapestry changes into more hopeful patterns starting tomorrow. A mere slight chance of rain and snow showers peppers the morning with a chance of gradual clearing later in the day as we head towards a high near 50, which is practically T-shirt weather compared to today's soggy state of affairs.
Clear skies and a warming trend are expected as the week progresses, with temperatures reaching a high of 78°F on Wednesday. Nights will be cool, with lows in the 50s, offering a shift toward more stable conditions.
