According to QC News, police responded to the incident at a residence on East Black Street near South Stonewall Street at around 12:40 a.m. today.

Upon arrival, officers discovered the fire at the back of the house and immediately contacted the fire department, who managed to contain the blaze. As reported by WBTV, fire crews extinguished the fire which had been actively burning upon their arrival. The accused, 36-year-old Johntavis Antwan Miller, was said to have been "angry after an argument earlier in the night," which allegedly prompted his actions.

Three people were reported to be inside a home when Miller set the fire. They were able to escape safely. The following morning, authorities located and apprehended Miller without further incident.
