Efforts are intensifying across Fayette County as local authorities and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) continue their search for Charlotte Kee, a 70-year-old woman from Somerville reported missing on April 14. Kee, last seen near Feathers Chapel Drive, suffers from a medical condition that may compromise her capability to find her way home without assistance, as noted in an alert from Action News 5.

A Silver Alert, typically issued for missing older adults, especially those with mental impairments, has been activated. Standing 5'4" tall and weighing 153 pounds, Kee is easily identifiable by her red hair and brown eyes. Having accidentally left her cell phone in her trailer, residents and law enforcement have been alerted through a message sent by TBI, reported by Local Memphis.

The Fayette County Sheriff's Office is actively seeking information from anyone who might have a connection to Kee. Chief Deputy Ray Garcia underscored the urgency of the situation, saying, "We are going to do anything we can. Of course, our guys are talking to anybody we can find that she has any connection to," in a statement obtained by WREG News. Initially, authorities were called in for a welfare check before elevating Kee's case to that of a missing person.

Details are still coming to light, as neighbors recall last Saturday, noticing Kee's front door open, her dog unaccompanied outside, and her stove left on – signs that suggested an abrupt departure. Russell German, Kee's nephew, told WREG News about the unsettling scene at her mobile home on Feathers Chapel Drive and the rarity for her to leave her cell phone behind. He emphasized that the remoteness of her living area could present challenges in locating her.

Individuals with any information about Charlotte Kee's whereabouts are urged to make contact with the TBI at 1-800-TBI-FIND or call the Fayette County Sheriff's Office at 901-465-3456. Law enforcement officials and the community hold onto hope that timely tips might lead to a safe resolution.
