The City of Senatobia faced concerns after its early warning siren system failed during severe weather conditions. The malfunction, attributed to "possible weather-related interference," left residents without critical alerts as storms moved through the area overnight and into Thursday morning, as WREG reported.
According to Action News 5, city officials reassured the public, emphasizing the importance of early warning systems for public safety. They are working to fix the issue quickly.
In the meantime, residents were advised to use alternative methods for receiving emergency alerts, such as local media, the National Weather Service, and by registering for "Code Red" notifications, as per FOX 13 Memphis.
