In an effort to genuinely aid the community, Smyrna's Chief Magistrate Court Judge Brendan F. Murphy and Clerk of State Court Tahnicia Phillips have teamed up once more to bring free legal counsel to residents. This coming Saturday, Smyrna will witness the return of a pop-up legal clinic designed to offer no-cost assistance on a range of legal concerns. Set to take place at the Smyrna First United Methodist Church, located at 1315 Concord Rd. SE Smyrna, the services will be available from 10:00 am to noon.
Local legal experts will be on hand to quickly provide guidance and support in various areas, including Family Law, Landlord/Tenant disputes, Probate matters, Small Claims, and Bankruptcy. The pop-up clinic aims to make it easier for individuals who might otherwise struggle to afford legal consultation to quickly access essential services. This initiative, officially entering its second year, enjoys the sponsorship of Ward 2 Councilwoman Latonia P. Hines and Ward 3 Councilman Travis Lindley, who are actively endorsing the event for the benefit of their constituents. For more details, interested parties can visit Smyrna's official website.
As reported by the city's own announcement, the previous iteration of the clinic saw a positive response from the community, empowering a score of individuals to better navigate the complexities of the legal system. This year's clinic is expected to similarly offer significant benefit to attendees, helping them to fully understand and potentially resolve their legal issues. Smyrna residents in need of legal help are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity and seek advice from professionals who have volunteered to make the justice system more accessible. The clinic will open its doors this Saturday, and all are welcome.
