According to an announcement on the City of Frisco's website, road and lane closures will commence from 5 a.m. to 11 a.m. this Saturday, to facilitate the running event. While not all lanes will be shut down for the entirety of the event, drivers are advised to plan and consider alternative routes to avoid the impacted areas.
The epicenter of this event is Collin College, where the race is set to start and finish and which will be inaccessible by car between 7 and 8:30 a.m., during which all participants, including event staff, volunteers, vendors, runners, and spectators needing vehicle access must arrive before the commencement of the race.
Motorists traversing the southeast Frisco area can anticipate a piecemeal return to normalcy. A detailed traffic impact timeline indicates that specific arteries like Hillcrest Rd., Main St., and Custer Rd. Gradually resuming regular traffic patterns as the morning unfolds. Drivers are reminded that although Ohio Dr. and Wade Blvd. will reopen at 8:30 a.m., intermittent delays may occur along Ohio Dr. until the final runners return to Collin College at 11 a.m.
