Adding to the day's traffic complications, a separate incident involving a fatal crash enforced the shutdown of I-85 northbound, with all traffic directed towards Brookshire Boulevard, leading to miles of backed-up traffic and ponderous delays for the morning commuters, the effects reverberated down the arteries of the city's transport system, as WCNC detailed from the scene.
