On Sunday, a routine traffic stop in Vallejo took a significant turn when a white GM Pontiac was pulled over due to a malfunctioning brake light. The vehicle, observed near 5th Street and Dishong Street, led to a citation and a felony arrest after the driver admitted to lacking a valid driver's license, according to a social media post by the Vallejo Police Department.

During the stop, the Vallejo officers detained the man after he produced a recent citation for the same violation. Preparing to tow his vehicle and institute a 30-day hold, they conducted an inventory search. They found a stolen, fully loaded firearm placed beneath the driver's seat.

The firearm's origin was traced to a theft report from St. Louis. Accompanying this disturbing find, officers also uncovered a loaded high-capacity magazine, traces of cocaine, marijuana, packaging materials, and two digital scales, which suggest the intent to distribute narcotics.

Following the search, the driver faced multiple felony charges, including possession of a firearm and narcotics for sale. All evidence was collected, and the Pontiac was removed from the scene. The driver was then booked into Solano County Jail.
