
A vehicle fire erupted on Friday morning in the Pixar Pals parking structure at Disneyland Resort, prompting a response from the Anaheim Fire Department. According to KTLA, the blaze was first reported at about 9:47 a.m. and started within a Toyota RAV4. The fire soon spread to involve at least two to three additional vehicles before it was extinguished.
There were no injuries reported as a result of the incident, and the Anaheim Police Department has yet to publicly disclose the cause of the fire. Videos from park visitors appeared to show smoke drifting above the parking area, while the outer side of the structure was blackened by flames, as per a report by NBC Los Angeles. Officials have begun to thoroughly investigate to try and determine how the fire might have started.
The car fire sent smoke billowing over the vicinity of the structure, located nearly two miles away from the park's main entrance. FOX LA detailed that firefighters quickly knocked down the fire after responding to reports of the initial vehicle being ablaze shortly before 9:50 a.m.
Though specific details regarding the aftermath of the fire have yet to be fully determined, ongoing updates are expected as the Anaheim Police Department's investigation continues to try and uncover the origin of the blaze. The resort has not released a statement regarding the impact of the fire on park operations or the guests' vehicles that were damaged.
