A Washington state man has received a 20-year sentence for crimes involving the online sexual exploitation of three children in Oregon. Jakob Joshua Stickney, 26, who operated under aliases such as "UNHOLY," "unholy_xx2," and "Unholy_22x", utilized the social media platform Discord to commit his offenses. According to a statement by the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Oregon, Stickney has also been mandated a lifetime term of supervised release post-imprisonment and is ordered to pay $3,000 in restitution to each victim.

Documents presented in court reveal Stickney's engagement in inappropriate communications with minors between August and September 2023, during which Stickney attempted to meet a child from Oregon after extensive online interaction. He was confronted by the child's mother upon arriving at the child's home, leading to law enforcement involvement. Subsequently, in October, Discord flagged sexually explicit messages that occurred between Stickney and another victim, providing a tip to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Authorities discovered Stickney had persuaded a child and their sibling into explicit acts and coerced them to film and share this content to join a Discord group titled "Unholy Girls," which he maintained. Stickney's phone, which was seized upon his arrest on November 17, 2023, contained child sexual abuse material. Charged on December 30, 2024, with multiple offenses including the coercion and enticement of a minor, Stickney pleaded guilty to the sexual exploitation of children and additional charges on January 23, 2025. The investigation was led by the FBI along with the Portland Police Bureau and was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Eliza Carmen Rodriguez.
