A tragic incident unfolded yesterday night in Catawba County as a 24-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a head-on collision, informed the North Carolina State Highway Patrol. The crash occurred near the intersection of Hudson Chapel Road and Brown Chapel Road around 11:20 p.m., as reported by QC News.
Django Alexander Rosenbaum, hailing from Sherrills Ford, was traveling westbound on his 2012 Harley-Davidson when he lost control, swerved across the centerline, and struck an oncoming 2019 Honda Civic. Rosenbaum, who was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, was ejected from the bike and pronounced dead at the scene, WCNC stated.
The driver of the Honda Civic, identified as 21-year-old Noah Buff, and the two passengers inside the car were unharmed during the collision. An initial investigation by the Highway Patrol indicated that excessive speed may have been a contributing factor in the devastating event, leading to this fatal outcome. The road remained closed for approximately two hours for investigation purposes, as WCCB Charlotte reported.
