A recent crackdown on illegal marijuana operations in Cleveland County led to the seizure of nearly 65 pounds of processed cannabis and about 29,000 marijuana plants. The Office of the Attorney General’s Organized Crime Task Force (OCTF), working with multiple agencies, carried out the enforcement action across three farms.
According to the Oklahoma Attorney General’s Office, Ruibin Wu and Xihai Yin, both Chinese nationals, were arrested and face charges including aggravated manufacturing and possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute.
The investigation began after a tip led agents to suspicious grow operations near 183rd Street in Lexington. The operation involved several agencies, including the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority, Oklahoma City Police Department, FBI, Homeland Security Investigations, and the Oklahoma National Guard.
Attorney General Gentner Drummond stated that such efforts are part of ongoing actions to eliminate illegal marijuana operations in Oklahoma. Firearms were also seized during the raids, adding to the list of evidence gathered in the case. Authorities continue to increase enforcement against unauthorized cannabis grows.
