Bryan Logan, a longtime Paden local, has officially taken his oath as State Senator for District 8. The swearing-in ceremony, held on the Senate Floor, marks the beginning of his tenure representing a district that encompasses parts of Creek, McIntosh, Muskogee, Okfuskee, and Okmulgee Counties.
As a member of the Republican Party, Logan steps into his new role with a varied background that includes serving as a pastor, a business owner, and a local agricultural leader. "It is the honor of my life to represent the people of Senate District 8," Logan expressed. "I will stand firm on the biblical and constitutional principles that have guided me throughout my life. I’m here to defend our values, protect our freedoms, serve with integrity and do what is right for not only Senate District 8, but for all the people of Oklahoma." These comments were sourced from a press release from the Oklahoma Senate.
Alongside his political duties, Logan has been a force in the religious community as the pastor of Paden Pentecostal Holiness Church since 2009. Together with his wife, Lindsey, he also runs a residential construction and custom carpentry business, evidencing his tie to the local economy. The couple, both Paden High School graduates, remain rooted in the same land Logan grew up on.
Involvement in agriculture runs deep for Logan, who maintains a cow-calf operation and holds a position as County President for the American Farmers and Ranchers Insurance's Okfuskee County Chapter. His extensive experience is further complemented by his role on various boards, including the Oklahoma Construction Industries Board and as the Secretary/Treasurer of the Oklahoma Building Inspectors Association. His track record extends to managing the Community Development Block Grant Program for the City of Shawnee – tasks that involved him in housing rehabilitation efforts in collaboration with state and federal agencies.
