The Calistoga Police Department has issued a call for public assistance following a disturbing incident on the 1800 block of Lincoln Avenue yesterday. According to a social media post from the department, at around 11:50 AM, a witness observed a suspected abduction when a male struck a woman in the stomach. Shouts for help were heard from the victim as she was forcibly taken into a maroon 2014 Honda Accord by the assailant. The witness promptly called for police intervention as the suspect drove away, with the victim last seen attempting to escape the vehicle. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Officer C. Townsend at the Calistoga Police Department by calling (707) 942-2810, as per the Calistoga Police Department.

Initial descriptions of the individuals involved provided by the police detail the suspect as a white male, approximately 40 years of age, with gray hair that reaches his shoulders, and a stature of around 5 feet and 8 inches tall. Last seen, he was wearing a green shirt paired with black pants. His car had a California license plate numbered 7JBZ430 and was distinguishable by a black front bumper. Travelling north on Highway 29 from Silverado Trail, the vehicle was later spotted by an ALPR on Highway 20 near Williams. Owned by someone from Chico, the owner, however, is not considered a suspect in this case.

As for the victim, she is a white female, around 40 years of age, heavyset, with dark hair, and was wearing a purple sweatshirt and black leggings during the time of the reported abduction. After further investigation, the suspect appeared to have checked into a nearby hotel under the name “Thomas Phillips,” but authorities have yet to make an identification. The case remains open and active, with the Calistoga Police Department pursuing all avenues to locate the victim and apprehend the suspect.
