
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is currently investigating a homicide that took place in the 4000 block of North Graham Street, within the North Tryon Division. According to their report, the incident occurred yesterday evening when officers were called to an Assault with a Deadly Weapon scene shortly before 8:30 p.m. The victim was found with a gunshot wound and was later pronounced dead at a local hospital after being transported by MEDIC.
Responding along with the Homicide Unit detectives, who are spearheading the investigation, were Crime Scene Search to collect evidence, and representatives from CMPD’s Operations Command, Victim Services, and CFD to offer assistance. In a statement obtained by the CMPD, the investigation has been described as active and ongoing, with further details to be shared as they develop.
