Clark County will conduct logic and accuracy tests on its voting equipment at 2 p.m. on June 9 at the Elections Office, 1408 Franklin St., in preparation for the August 5 Primary and Special Election. Required by Washington state law, these tests ensure ballot tabulation systems and accessible voting units are functioning properly. The public, media, and candidates are invited to observe the process.
According to the Clark County Elections Office announcement, ballots for the local election will be on their way to registered voters via snail mail starting Tuesday, July 15. Residents of Vancouver city and the Fort Vancouver Regional Library District should watch for election materials arriving by mail. While Election Day reaches its peak with the casting of ballots, the process behind the scenes begins at 7:15 p.m., when officials start preparing the ballot tabulation system for counting.
Election results will begin to be released between 8:15 and 8:30 p.m. on Election Day and can be accessed online at the Clark County Elections website, clarkvotes.org.
