To streamline passport services, the Collin County District Clerk’s Passport Office has rolled out a new program tailored for those who can't make appointments or prefer walking in on a whim. The buzz is about "Walk-Up Wednesdays," which welcomes passport-seekers every Wednesday from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., starting June 4.
For residents of Collin County and its neighboring communities, this means fewer scheduling headaches and more flexibility. Services offered during Walk-Up Wednesdays include first-time passport applications, renewals for minors aged 16 and under, and renewals for passports that have expired for longer than five years—no appointments necessary. However, patrons should note that appointments will not be accepted on Wednesdays.
Those who crave order and have a penchant for planning aren't left out in the cold. Scheduled appointments can still be made for the other days of the week through Collin County's website.
