Last week's violent encounter on Willow Pass Road that resulted in two people being stabbed has concluded with the arrest of two suspects. The Concord Police Department (CPD) patrol officers originally responded to the incident last Tuesday. The altercation stemmed from what was determined to be a dispute between rival gang members over graffiti tagging, according to a social media post from the Concord Police Department.

Following the incident, which occurred around 3 PM near Market Street close to SR 242, the victims were transferred to area hospitals and are now in stable condition. The suspects had managed to escape the scene fleetly before officers' arrival. Concord Police Department’s Violence Suppression Unit detectives took swift action to identify the assailants as twenty-five-year-old Cristian Cobos and twenty-two-year-old Ramon Cobos, both residing in Fairfield. CPD VSU detectives, assisted by the Fairfield Police Department, made the arrests the following Tuesday morning and conducted a search warrant in Fairfield, per an update from the Concord Police Department.

The Contra Costa District Attorney’s Office has filed attempted murder charges against both Cristian and Ramon Cobos.
