The City of Dallas has officially opened the door for applications for Love Your Block mini-grants, a Bloomberg Center for Public Innovation initiative offering funding for community-driven beautification and revitalization projects. If you've got a vision to spruce up your streets, alleys, or parks, now might be the perfect moment to bring that vision to life.
The grants are part of a wider program to spark local engagement and urban transformation. Each awarded project will see neighborhoods turn sparse lots into gardens or drab walls into vibrant murals, all with the common goal of promoting stronger communities through physical improvement. Dallas has joined forces with 15 other U.S. cities in one of the largest cohorts in the Love Your Block program's history.
According to the City of Dallas news update, the program has impacted nearly 50,000 communities nationwide.
