This morning, as darkness still clutched at the streets of Petaluma, a robbery took place at a local 7-Eleven. According to the Petaluma Police Department, at about 3:08 AM, an employee at the convenience store located at 5300 Old Redwood Highway found themselves at the wrong end of a very serious threat. A male suspect, described only by his attire and obscured by a ski mask, demanded money from the register, his intentions underscored by a glimpse of a firearm.
Wearing a dark sweatshirt adorned with multicolored graphics and gray sweatpants, coupled with red socks and mismatched black and white shoes, the suspect made his demands clear. "Threatening to kill them if they did not comply," the employee, adhering to survival, complied and handed over the cash, as reported by the Petaluma Police Department. The individual fled the scene immediately afterward on foot, fading into the anonymity of the night.
In their attempt to find this perpetrator, Petaluma Police officers conducted a thorough search of the area. Yet, the suspect remained elusive, leaving the police with nothing more than the description provided by the shaken employee.
The Petaluma Police are turning to the community for help, reaching out with a call for witnesses or information that might illuminate this predawn crime. They ask those who know anything to contact Officer Tuaua at [email protected] or to call the non-emergency phone at 707-778-4372, referencing case PPD Case 25-1685.
