A Fall River man has pleaded guilty to federal charges for attempting to distribute cocaine through the United States Postal Service. Justin Dupras, 42, admitted to participating in a drug trafficking operation that involved mailing cocaine from California to Massachusetts.
According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Dupras was involved in multiple shipments, including one on December 17, 2024. The drugs were sent from cities such as Los Angeles and Chino Hills to Fall River, with each package containing approximately two kilograms of cocaine. Dupras’s travel patterns were found to align with the mailing of the packages.
Dupras was charged with attempting to possess cocaine with intent to distribute. He faces up to 30 years in prison, a lifetime of supervised release, and a fine of up to $2,000,000. Sentencing is scheduled for September 4.
The announcement was made by U.S. Attorney Leah B. Foley and Ketty Larco-Ward, Inspector in Charge of the U.S. Postal Inspection Service, with support from the Fall River Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorney Bill Abely is prosecuting the case.
