A Federal Way man has been arrested following the tragic death of his 5-year-old daughter at the Glen Park Apartments on Southwest Campus Drive. According to KOMO News, arriving officers responded to a call regarding a medical emergency on Thursday, around 1 p.m., where they were confronted with the critical state of the child.
The Federal Way Police Department officers found it necessary to administer emergency first aid before paramedics transported the young girl to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. The 29-year-old father was taken into custody by authorities and underwent questioning by detectives. He was afterwards booked into the King County Jail under suspicion of his daughter's murder, as detailed by local station FOX 13 Seattle.
Further details concerning the case remain limited at this time, as investigators continue to sift through the harrowing circumstances that led up to the young girl's death. The identity of the suspect is yet to be officially released.
